  • IT and telecommunication systems for oil, gas and process industries (with Fluor, BP and BOC – five contracts in total), FEED, PMC, tender and EPC phases of contracts. Focus on networks and equipment including PBXs, Local Exchanges, PA Systems, Intercom Systems, CCTV Systems, Microwave Systems, Satellite Systems, Fibre Cable Systems, Copper Cable Systems, Structured Cabling, LANs, WANs, Routers, PCs, HDSL, ADSL and other line transmission systems, Signalling Protocols (ISDN, DPNSS, QSIG, etc.) and Wireless/Radio Systems.

  • Design and delivery of IT and telecommunication courses. Has delivered over 300 training courses and lectures within the IT and telecoms subject area. Started giving training courses and lectures in 1987 for Gandalf in Chicago at the training school. Has presented courses on a one-to-one basis, in a classroom environment, in a lecture theatre, and has also provided training services as a floor walker. Has carried out Training Needs Analysis (TNA) for a number of clients. Has also developed computer-based training courses for online students and interactive online training courses. Has given courses in UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Finland, Sweden, Cyprus, USA, Canada, Algeria, Morocco, Martinique and Israel

  • Has worked as a journalist and technical author and has written over 20 reports and written many articles for technical journals. Has also written technical standards for ETSI. From 1989 until 2001 worked as freelance editor/writer of a number of newsletters (published by the Financial Times) as well as published articles in the telecoms and IT trade press.
